St Andrew’s Day Dining offers in Edinburgh this weekend!

As part of this year’s Scotland’s Winter Festivals campaign, restaurants and cafes across Scotland are encouraging Scot’s to celebrate this St Andrew’s Day.

On St Andrew’s Day (30th November) and on the weekend of 1st and 2nd of December, people in Edinburgh can make the most of these special menus as well as joining in the other celebratory events throughout the country.

Events in Edinburgh kick off with a St Andrew’s Day Carnival at Edinburgh Castle on 30th November. From 11am to 4pm there will be lantern making classes suitable for all ages. Between 7pm and 8pm the iconic landmark plays host to the St Andrew’s Day Night Time Spectacular, showcasing an exuberant, youthful flavour to the traditional celebrations of Scotland’s national holiday. The amazing Scottish Carnival will include a light show, contemporary dance, fireworks and a unique twist on the pipes and drums – all performed on the Edinburgh landmark building.

  • The Edinburgh Larder – Will be offering a set lunch menu and dinner menu for £25
  • Stac Polly – Stac Polly are offering a set dinner menu on St Andrew’s Day for £36 per person
  • Candy cupcakes – Will have a limited edition Tunnock’s teacake cupcake – A take on the traditional Scottish cake, the cupcake will have a biscuit base, vanilla sponge topped with marshmallow and dipped in chocolate
  • Mimi’s Bakehouse – Offering a menu of Scottish classics including Scottish Lamb Hotpot/Macsween Haggis Stovies and Cranican Cheesecake. They will also have limited edition Scottish Tablet cupcakes on offer
  • Cuckoo’s Bakery – Offering a limited edition Millionaire’s Shortbread cupcake
